The Academy of Image
The International Academy of Image Arts and Sciences is a film and audio visual communication school, recognised by the Abruzzo Region (L. R. n. 100/97), by the L’ Aquila local authorities (deliberation n. 258 of 05/12/1997) and by the Province of L’ Aquila (deliberation n. 86 of 10/11/2004.) The Academy was founded in 1993 by Gabriele Lucci in collaboration with a group of artists, students of cinema and audiovisual communication and representatives of the university. It opened with a series of international seminars and workshops and courses began in 1995. Today the Academy is considered a centre of excellence and is located in a building which also houses the L'Aquila Film Institute, "La Lanterna Magica", and the Abruzzo Film Commission.Modified at: January 12, 2007 Permalink
