The Academy
The International Academy of Image Arts and Sciences is a non-profit institution, established in 1991 by Gabriel Lucci with the support of a group of artists and expert professionals in the cinema and audiovisual communication industry.The project was brought forward by the L'Aquila Film Institute, “La Lanterna Magica", which has always closely examined the progress of audiovisual and film language. In 1992 the Institute established ties with the University of L’Aquila in order to set up the Academy.
